Underwater LED fishing light analysis and its light propagation: Traditional light sources are point sources with equal light energy at the emission angle, which usually makes the illumination distance proportional to the illumination area. That is, the farther the beam is transmitted, the larger the area of illumination.
Next, the LED fish lamp is measured; the measurement is based on the volume of the illumination area, and after the light source is turned on, it is measured according to the illumination of more than 10 lux; as shown in Fig. 6, the simulation results reveal that there are different emission angles and different array numbers. The illumination of the LED array source, these arrays are 10m or 20m away from the target.
For a single LED light source with an emission angle of 5°, the illumination can reach 35 lux even if the distance travels up to 20 meters; however, since the emission angle is too small and the illumination area is too narrow, identifiable illumination cannot be achieved. In this study, the underwater cosine LED light transmission model is constructed by using the average cosine of the light field, the method of light scattering probability, the illumination angle and the axial illumination intensity of the LED light source. In addition to the establishment of underwater LED fish-absorbent lamps, this study also successfully demonstrated the underwater light field distribution and analyzed its illumination and illumination areas at different emission angles.
Simulation results of underwater light transmission indicate that a small launch angle is required in order to achieve a long travel distance. However, in order to achieve a large illumination area, an LED light source with a large emission angle is not well defined; instead, it depends on the absorption and scattering coefficients of the water body.
